Paul joined Time Capital in 2010 after a number of years operating his own corporate advisory business. In this business he provided ‘virtual CFO’ services and also acted as advisor in the sectors of business recovery and turnaround, governance, performing a number of major assignments as Chief Financial Officer or General Manager of significant New Zealand corporates, including Zespri, Metlifecare and Pacific Retail Group.
Paul has turned around or guided a number of major NZ companies through extremely challenging periods, in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and mainland Europe. These include;
- lead role in the controlled closure of Powerhouse in the UK (130 stores) and negotiations with affected suppliers and financial institutions
- establishment of the transfer pricing and tax structure for Frucor Beverages in the UK and Europe
- CFO of the Timber Management Company, established to manage the 189,000 hectare Kaingaroa forest estate in New Zealand’s Central North Island and enable its sale.
A member of the Institute of Directors, Paul presently serves as a director of several companies and has held directorships of both privately-held and publicly-listed companies.
